Public Sector Accounts and Reporting Department (PARD)

Department Overview
The PARD is responsible for the preparation of the consolidated accounts for the FGS and shall be accountable for all reporting generated by the Office of the Accountant General covering financial, statutory, statistical, and consolidated fund reporting. Working closely with all other Departments of the Office of the Accountant General, the PARD ensures that reports are generated in line with the reporting framework and comply with IPSAS and GFSM standards.
The Department shall also be responsible for PFM policy development and capacity building for the accounting cadre throughout the Federal Government and provides the management with accurate, relevant, and timely financial information for decision.

Mission
To achieve our vision, we will recruit highly qualified cadres to ensure proper implementation of PFM regulations and policies as well as international accounting standards and provide accurate and timely financial data reports to users for the purpose of making appropriate decisions.
Structure
The department structure consists of four (4) sections headed by a director that facilitate the functions of the department and the department will make, slowly but surely, a smooth transition to an advanced structure as many reforms and improvements are implemented.
